Tranquility Tape's ~
"Though he only began releasing music as cloudsound in 2014, Swedish resident and American expat Lee Boyd has been recording beautiful ambient guitar compositions directly to tape for years now. We're excited to share his latest collection, asperatus, and it's another stellar example of Boyd's singular sound. cloudsound has all the lushness you could ever want from this kind of music, but Boyd's loose, improvisational style feels distinctly homegrown – like a kind of cosmic blues brewed on Earth and then beamed out for the rest of the universe to enjoy. There's just something so intoxicating about the combination of Boyd's washed out guitar tones with the warmth of analog sound. Drink it up and drift away. Pro-dubbed and imprinted chrome cassettes, featuring designs by Caroline Teagle."

~ Translated from Russian ~
"The extensive music Asperatus, that was presented on a tape by Swedish project Cloudsound, seems to be woven of light beams. Audio waves spread with the great speed everywhere, and hugeness of macrocosm is filled by one sounding. Just like a rock can fall on a lake surface, causing formation of water rings, that are dissipating into different directions, in the same way this album, starting to be played, creates vibrations of all ambiance – the sound itself acquires tangibility. Music drifting of compositions has its own glares, that scintillate in an overall and versatile way, colors and manners change every time. Spirit is tuned in the same tonality with the cosmic source. Melody-dreaming, melody-glowing Asperatus comes before awakening in the morning or even before creation of some incarnation, it's the beginning of new life. Sonority, which was dispelled by eternity, fall apart on foggy and muted tones, shades, reflections. Invisible veiling, that could blunt clarity of the sight, is dropping down now. We can see endless paths and routes, which take precedence of any single glance."
